23 April 2019: meetings with German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Gerd Müller.

The main results and prospects of TEEB-Russia project were presented by E. Bukvareva at breakfast meeting between the German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. Müller, and Russian Biodiversity Experts. Representatives of Russian units of WWF, Greenpeace, Wetlands International as well as German Federal Ministry and German Embassy Moscow staff attended the meeting.

On the same day, a meeting with Gerd Muller was also held at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia (the link in Russian: http://www.mnr.gov.ru/press/news/rossiya_i_germaniya_ukreplyayut_sotrudnichestvo_po_voprosam_sokhraneniya_klimata_morey_unikalnykh_ze/). The director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia Nuritdin Inamov made a report on the main areas of cooperation between the two countries. In particular, the parties noted productive cooperation in the implementation of a number of projects: the Russian-German working group “Nature Protection and Biological Diversity” has been successfully operating for more than 10 years; an action plan has been developed to strengthen Russia's position in setting up an international environmental agenda; as a result of the implementation of the TEEB-Russia-1 and TEEB-Russia-2 projects, by 2020 a basis will be formed for the methodical development of a national system for the assessment and monitoring of ecosystem services in Russia.
